A five day hands-on technical workshop focused on Campus Network Design and Network Monitoring and Management towards a National Research and Education Network in Myanmar from March 4-8, 2013.
NSRC worked with 36 computer science and engineering faculty members from 21 different universities in Myanmar to provide training about how to design and build campus networks. The one-week program emphasized current best practices using layer 2 switches and layer 3 routers, as well as network security, and open source network management tools. The overarching goal of this event was to help strengthen the human network of the research and education community in developing national and regional cyberinfrastructure.
