UbuntuNet Alliance Train the Trainer Workshop in Kigali, Rwanda
9-13 November 2013
The Network Startup Resource Center (NSRC) and the UbuntuNet Alliance teamed up to create a network training group in Kigali, Rwanda for expanding technical expertise within the Alliance.
The goal is to enhance local technical expertise to support the current rapid build-out of research and education networks (RENs) in the region. Participants from ten of the Alliance's member National Research and Education Networks (NRENs) developed network training objectives, course planning skills, teaching materials, and learned about managing virtualized training platforms so they can provide local training courses within their respective communities.
Thanks to Google, the US National Science Foundation, O'Reilly Media, Liquid Telecom, the International Network for the Availability of Scientific Publications (INASP) and DANTE (Delivery of Advanced Network Technology to Europe) for support of this activity.
